A potent antioxidant serum formulated with a unique blend of synergistic ingredients to help fight against three types of free radicals (ROS, RNS, RCS) and defend from environmental assaults. Intense Defence Antioxidant Serum is formulated with a proprietary antioxidant complex containing 18 active ingredients that work synergistically to keep the skin looking healthy and vibrant.

Active Ingredients

Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)

A completely natural, yeast-derived enzyme that fights free radicals and protects skin cells from oxidative damage. It also serves as an anti-inflammatory agent.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid)

Acts as a strong natural antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Increases cellular energy production, which is very important for DNA protection and skin’s natural repairing process.

Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone)

A powerful antioxidant that protects skin lipids, increases barrier resistance to oxidative stress, supports cellular energy production and helps reduce collagen degradation.

Dimethylmethoxy Chromanol

A strong antioxidant, analogue to gamma-tocopherol, that effectively protects cells from all three types of free radicals (ROS, RNS and RCS). It is also involved in detoxification process.

Squalane

Derived from Mediterranean olive oil, this botanical ingredient mimics natural skin lipids. Squalane replenishes moisture, prevents moisture loss and restores skin’s suppleness. It also acts as an antioxidant to help protect the skin from damaging free radicals.

Vitamin C

A stable ester form of Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate). Boosts collagen production, brightens the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment- melanin) and demonstrates strong antioxidant activity.

Bisabolol

An active molecule extracted from Chamomile. Possesses strong antioxidant, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

Shiso Leaf (Perilla, Japanese mint)

Rich in polyphenols (particularly Rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly Ursolic acid), natural molecules that demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic bioactivities. Shiso leaf acts as a powerful antioxidant defending skin from free radical damage. It helps to prevent skin reactivity and soothes sensitive skin. Shiso leaf is well-known in Kampo medicine for its strong detox properties.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

A naturally derived vitamin with powerful antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Tocopherol is an excellent moisturiser that helps to reduce water loss and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.

Green Tea

Rich in polyphenols, green tea demonstrates strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Helps reduce visible signs of aging by inhibiting collagen breakdown.

Pycnogenol

A natural plant ingredient extracted from the pine bark. Powerfully scavenges free radicals, demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties and provides support to strengthen and rebuild skin’s natural collagen.

Echinacea

A plant with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties. Boosts immune system of the skin.

Ginkgo Biloba

A plant rich in bioflavonoids with strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Increases oxygen consumption and enhances collagen production.

Centella Asiatica

Known as Gotu Kola, Centella is a medicinal plant rich in asiaticosides. Enhances collagen production, increases skin’s tensile strength and promotes wound healing. It has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Hyaluronic Acid

A full spectrum of molecular weights of sodium hyaluronate working in synergy. Shows different activities: improves skin moisture, strengthens the barrier function, helps to retain and maintain skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and restores skin suppleness.

Vegetal Proteins

Two proteins derived from soy and wheat. Boost collagen production, protect collagen from glycation and enhance skin firmness and elasticity.

Tripeptide-1

Boosts collagen production and helps improve collagen fibre quality.

Sesame Protein

A sesame-derived protein with an instant tightening effect. Noticeably reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and effectively provides long-lasting moisture.
