Apply liberally all over face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure. To maintain original protection, reapply every 2 hours.
Use every morning as the last step in your daily skincare regime. Can be used alone or under make up.
Base: A 100% plant-origin emulsion derived from renewable feedstocks showing excellent moisturising properties.
Sunscreen: Zinc Oxide
Prebiotics: A blend of sugar molecules α-glucooligosaccharides obtained from corn and beetroot and β-fructooligosaccharides derived from yacon tubers (Polymnia sonchifolia). Prebiotics support the growth of good (beneficial) bacteria on the skin surface to help rebalance healthy skin microflora, demonstrate excellent moisturising properties and promote healthier skin.
Probiotics: A blend of inactivated bacteria from 2 bacterial strains (Lactobacillus Casei, Lactobacillus Acidophilus). Probiotics help to maintain, optimise and restore the natural microflora of the skin. Support the skin’s natural immune defences, enhance the recovery of the skin’s barrier function and exhibit a potent soothing effect.
Acetyl Hexapeptide-1: A biomimetic peptide with anti-inflammatory and soothing actions. Stimulates the natural skin defense system to protect cells from UV damage and premature photoageing.
Shiso (Perilla frutescens): Shiso, also known as Japanese mint, is a plant rich in polyphenols (particularly rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly ursolic acid). Zelens uses an extract obtained from shiso leaf which demonstrates excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties. Shiso leaf has been used for years in Kampo medicine due to its strong detox properties and ability to prevent skin reactivity and soothe sensitive skin.
Botanical blend: A blend of liposome-encapsulated plants: Green tea (Camellia sinensis), Gotu kola (Centella asiatica), Acerola (Malpighia glabra), Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), Pomegrante (Punica granatum). Demonstrates antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Astaxanthin: An active ingredient extracted from algae Haematococcus Pluvialis. Possesses potent antioxidant properties, effectively protects the skin from damaging free radicals to prevent premature skin ageing and inhibits the production of melanin.
Dunaliella (Dunaliella salina): An extract of microalgae grown in the Mediterranean. Rich in beta-carotene, this plant protects skin from sun-induced damage, scavenges free radicals, reduces glycation and diminishes formation of UV-induced spots and wrinkles.
Lecithin: A vegetable-based phosphatidylcholine, a natural part of all cell membranes. Shows emollient, moisturising and smoothing properties.
Karanja (Pongamia glabra) oil: An oil extracted from the seeds of Karanja tree found in India. Rich in bioflavonoids, this oil acts as a natural sunscreen (UV-absorbing properties) and shows antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Karanja (Pongamia pinnata): An extract from the seeds of Karanja tree found in India. Demonstrates antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Vegetable oil: Provides emollient, skin-conditioning and softening properties.
Dimethicone: A synthetic polymer molecule with excellent emollient, conditioning and skin protecting properties. Fill in fine lines and wrinkles and gives the skin a plumper look.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol): A naturally derived vitamin with powerful antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Tocopherol is an excellent moisturiser that helps to reduce water loss and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: An ester derived from coconut oil and glycerin. Shows excellent emollient, moisturising and skin-replenishing properties.
