Probiotic: Created by the fermentation of Lactobacillus. Reinforces skin defences, fortifies skin barrier function and helps promote the natural skin renewal process.
Amino Acid Blend: A blend of 11 naturally occurring free amino acids (Isoleucine, Proline, Threonine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Histidine, Phenylalanine). Shows moisturising, restructuring and repairing properties.
PCA & Sodium PCA: PCA and a sodium salt of PCA (pyroglutamic acid), a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the "natural moisturizing factors" (NMF). Used as humectants due to excellent moisturising, conditioning and water-absorbing properties.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5): A provitamin of vitamin B5. Used as an emollient due to excellent moisturising and conditioning properties. Reduces inflammation and itching, provides soothing effect and promotes wound healing.
Shiso Leaf (Perilla, Japanese mint): Rich in polyphenols (particularly Rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly Ursolic acid), natural molecules that demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-allergic properties. Shiso leaf acts as a powerful antioxidant defending skin from free radical damage. It helps to prevent skin reactivity and soothes sensitive skin. Shiso leaf is well known in Kampo medicine for its strong detox properties.
Plant Sugars: Sugar molecules derived from plants. Boost skin moisture, optimises the skin’s moisture flow and reinforces barrier by limiting water loss.
Aspen Bark Extract: Derived from the quaking aspen tree native to North America. Rich in salicin. Shows anti-inflammatory, calming and wound healing properties.
Glycerin: A naturally occurring molecule with excellent humectant, conditioning and softening properties.
Sodium Lactate: A naturally occurring molecule used as moisturising and buffering agent.
