Active Ingredients
Provitamin D3: Encapsulated form of provitamin D3 (7-Dehydrocholesterol). Provitamin D3 is converted to vitamin D3 upon exposure to sunlight. Reinforces skin barrier function, reduces skin irritation and increases skin resistance against environmental aggressors.
Fructooligosaccharides: Plant-derived sugars with excellent moisturising properties. Help to optimise skin microbioma and strengthen skin defences.
Beta Vulgaris Root Extract: Rich in betaine. Together with fructooligosaccharides potentiates the effect of vitamin D.
Betaine: A natural molecule derived from the beetroot (Beta vulgaris). Shows excellent anti-inflammatory, moisturising and conditioning properties.
Zinc PCA: Demonstrates excellent skin-conditioning and anti-microbial properties. Helps to maintain healthy collagen by inhibiting collagenase (enzyme responsible for collagen degradation).
PCA & Sodium PCA: PCA and a sodium salt of PCA (pyroglutamic acid), a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the “natural moisturizing factors” (NMF). Used as humectants due to excellent moisturising, conditioning and water-absorbing properties.
Shiso Leaf (Perilla, Japanese mint): Rich in polyphenols (particularly Rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly Ursolic acid), natural molecules that demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-allergic properties. Shiso leaf acts as a powerful antioxidant defending skin from free radical damage. It helps to prevent skin reactivity and soothes sensitive skin. Shiso leaf is well known in Kampo medicine for its strong detox properties.
